Join us for a special evening of independent film, conversation, and community at the Bay Arts Alliance Center in downtown Panama City.

This screening will showcase Alaska Is a Drag  — followed by an exclusive conversation and audience Q&A with filmmaker and producer Lex Benedict. Guests will gain insight into the independent filmmaking process, producing in Florida, and the evolving future of regional film production.

Lex Benedict is a filmmaker, editor, and experiential producer with more than 20 years of experience spanning independent film, branded content, live events, and immersive entertainment. Her work includes feature films, documentaries, and campaigns for platforms including Netflix, HBO/MAX, Hulu, BuzzFeed, FOX, and Amazon. As founder of Cinema à la Carte and PC Downtown Renaissance, Benedict creates immersive cultural programming, film events, and arts initiatives throughout downtown Panama City and across the Florida Panhandle. She is passionate about expanding opportunities for regional filmmakers and helping establish Northwest Florida as a destination for independent film and immersive storytelling.

Guests are invited to stay after the screening for networking and mingling with local creatives, filmmakers, and community members. Complimentary charcuterie will be provided, along with sponsored cooler drinks.
